Three Session Workshop Starting November 9, 2017

Learn techniques to decrease stress and anxiety brought on by the challenges of beginning a new school year and the upcoming holiday season.

November 9, 2017

Session 1: This session will include a variety of tools for parents, caretakers, and teachers to decrease stress and anxiety for themselves as well as for their children/students.

Topics we will touch on are some yoga stretching and breathing techniques, Reiki: definition and self-care hand positions, some basic essential oils and their uses, infant/toddler massage demonstration, and guided meditation.

Session 2: Nutrition for the whole family.

This session will include dietary tips for families on the go, recipes, how to “build a better lunchbox”, foods that help maintain a healthy immune system and the importance of a balanced diet and hydration!

February 2018 TBA

Session 3: Maintaining optimal health and a healthy immune system with natural remedies and physical activity.

In this session we will touch on some basic dietary supplements, natural remedies including some homeopathy, building a “natural first aid kit” and more. I will express the importance of daily physical activity and how it affects the mind as well as the body. We will explore some simple but, effective workouts. Additionally, we will discuss setting goals and how that will help get into an exercise routine.

Each session will begin at 6:30 PM and last approximately 60-90 minutes. There will be time for a Q&A at the end of each session.

Fee $25 per person, per session.$5 for each additional family member and a $5.00 discount if you sign up for all 3 sessions.

Karen Overgaard L.P.N. is a recognized expert in the field of holistic nursing. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience, including her work as a primary care pediatric nurse. Additionally, she is a Reiki Master, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Registered Yoga Teacher, Holistic Health/Nutrition Counselor and a Lactation Specialist
