Biography

Natalie is a licensed social worker and certified school social worker in New Jersey. She uses a compassionate and adaptable approach to meet the needs of clients and their families. Natalie
completed a Master’s degree in Social Work at Seton Hall University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Monmouth University. In addition to her position at Behaved Brain, she works as a school social worker.
Recognizing the unique set of challenges and social-emotional struggles children and adolescents face, Natalie is dedicated to addressing these issues holistically through evidence-based practices. She employs a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based approach to tackle the distinctive obstacles of each individual, while working with families to establish and achieve desired goals. Natalie fosters therapeutic relationships based on mutual trust and respect, emphasizing the
importance of relationship building and creating a non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to express their struggles and parents can voice their concerns. She aims to build
autonomy in clients by empowering and encouraging them to use problem-solving skills and
healthy coping mechanisms. By highlighting the strengths of her clients, Natalie focuses on
building confidence and self-esteem. She works collaboratively with clients and their families to
provide the necessary tools and skills for developing healthy relationships and navigating challenges specific to individual goals and real-life situations.
