"My son has been working with Katie for about a year now. Cobey has made progress on so many levels. What stands out about Katie is her ability to connect with my son on a level that no one else has been able to. She always finds a way to get through and pull out of him what he needs to address and in a fun non-invasive way."

"When we first met Katie, Daniel was 2 1/2 years old. At that time, he was receiving early intervention for expressive and receptive speech delay and noncompliance. He was very rigid in his manner and play. He did not like to join in any group play with children his own age and he would often cry and cling on to me. Daniel had sensory issues as well, loud noises and big crowds were very overwhelming for him. We as parents did not have the skill set to help him and we were scared and frustrated.

Through working with Katie for over 2 years, Daniel made amazing progress. She helped him to generalize and understand his environment, she helped tap into his creativity in the form of play (something that did not come naturally for him). She helped him work through specific sensory issues so he was not so fearful. Katie coached my husband and I so we could be consistent with Daniel. She guided us through a very difficult time in our lives and she did so with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

We could not be more thankful to Katie for what she has done for Daniel and for our family. Today, Daniel is a happy 6-year old boy who is sweet, loving, and funny. He is extremely talkative and social - had a great year in kindergarten where he made new friends easily. He played sports and was happy to be part of a team. We, as a family, could not be more grateful to Katie and all the support she provided us."

"My son began seeing Katie when he was in 2nd grade. He immediately felt comfortable with her and years later he still enjoys his time with her. Not only does she give my son tools to help himself, but she gives me an action plan, guidance and an empathetic ear. They say it takes a village to raise a child and Katie is one of our village chiefs!"

"My daughter was in first grade when school went virtual due to Covid. Upon her return, school caused her great anxiety, resulting in difficulty reacclimating and causing her grades and social relationships to suffer. I am so thankful that we were referred to Jana Devaney and Behaved Brain. Jana immediately gained her trust and provided her with great strategies to use when she became anxious. She loved seeing Miss Jana each week to play and talk. Her growth over the last year has been tremendous, in large part due to Miss Jana. She is now thriving both academically and socially. I would highly recommend Miss Jana and Behaved Brain!"

"Behaved Brain came through for us right when we needed them the most. My son, who is 8, was having some negative thoughts and trouble navigating his emotions. We were lucky to get an appointment with Jana who is nurturing, kind, professional and really took the time to get to know our son and build his trust. Jana mostly worked on SEL (social emotional learning) and worked with our son on realistic situations, what to do when/if... My son is now a better communicator, able to express his feelings and his negative thoughts have turned around. We are grateful and appreciative of all the help we were given."

"I highly recommend Behaved Brain, and have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rachel which has resulted in tremendous improvement in our daughters' level of anxiety (she started when she was 6 years old). In just a couple months we could already see her improving and coping better with separation anxiety, especially. Not only has she learned strategies, but she has a lot of fun at her sessions and looks forward to them."

"Our son looks forward to working with Dr. Jen each week! He finds it a comfort zone to work and play with her. With this, he has been more vocal about his feelings at home and how to deal with situations at school. We are proud of him and his work with Dr. Jen. If there is a doubt I recommend all parents have a consultation with the Behaved Brain to better help their child."

"We are so thankful for Dr. Jen Mayo at Behaved Brain and how she has helped our son. At the beginning of third grade, our son was struggling with a lot of negative thoughts and was extremely critical of himself. Dr. Jen patiently worked with him using cognitive behavioral therapy to help him adjust his thinking patterns. She also made the sessions fun by talking to him while playing a game he enjoyed, since he was resistant to therapy in the beginning. He quickly became comfortable with Dr. Jen due to her warm, personable, and kind demeanor. We have seen great improvements in our son's thinking and attitude toward difficulties, and we frequently refer back to the strategies he learned in therapy. We highly recommend Dr. Jen Mayo and the Behaved Brain!"

"Parenting is hard. Being a kid is hard. Having someone who truly "gets" my children, their needs, and how to support them is a gift. I have seen so much growth in all of us since we started seeing Heather at Behaved Brain. Not only do they look forward to their time with Miss Heather every week, but they can also understand the benefits of their sessions. It's clear that the work they are doing now will help my children become self-aware, communicative, independent, productive, confident, kind individuals throughout their future. What more could a parent ask for?"
