Biography

Jen is a Licensed Psychologist by the State of New Jersey and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents. Jen incorporates family and school consultation to enhance the individual’s well-being. Jen believes that it is important to gain insight on all aspects of the child’s environment in order to gain full understanding of the whole person.

In addition to being a Psychologist at Behaved Brain, Jen is a School Psychologist in a public-school system and brings her skills and knowledge from that setting to her clinical work at Behaved Brain. Jen also has experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations that help identify one’s strengths and weaknesses. Jen has a decade of experience working with children in individual and group settings.

As a successful psychologist, Jen first builds rapport with her clients and their families to truly gain their acceptance, trust, and respect. Jen utilizes an individualized approach to meet the needs of the family that she is working with, while incorporating evidence-based treatments and interventions. Jen is passionate about living a happy, healthy, and active lifestyle. These beliefs are reflected in her sessions as mindfulness techniques are incorporated to help clients become more aware of the present, and live a calmer, less stressed life.

Credentials

Jen graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Applied Developmental Psychology. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Child Psychology at Duquesne University. Following her Master’s Degree, Jen continued at Duquesne University and earned a Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
